GREETINGS, FRIENDS OF THE ARTS!

With this letter I officially present the ART ASSOCIATION OCHRE & GOLD (Asociación de arte Ocre & Oro), a multidisciplinary arts organization created to promote the artist through physical, benefic and virtual exhibitions. We also welcome partners and supporters, regardless of whether they share any artistic background or not.

Our Tax registration number in the Spanish Generalitat of Catalunya (since December 30, 2008) is G 650 14 847, and our Board is made out of representatives in Spain, England, Uruguay, Canada and Mexico, some being already part of our organization already. To create further links with other nations, we are still promoting and searching for more international contacts, thus facilitating the implementation of physical exhibitions beyond the Spanish borders. Art means freedom!

Participation in OCHRE & GOLD is governed by statutes that record both the rights and responsibilities of its members. These statutes have all been translated into various idioms at: http://www.asociacionocreyoro.com.es

2 - With the launch of the ART ASSOCIATION OCHRE & GOLD, does so too the benefic event “WE ARE TWO” (Somos Dos). Any profits from that event is intended for the health entity ALCER SORIA – FIGHTING KIDNEY DISEASE.- The work in question is a digital painting printed on canvas and called "QUIXOTE", and was originally intended to raise funds through sales while performing too the much needed social call for Organ Donation.

I have also created the group The Good Manners (“Las Buenas Maneras”) with the objective in mind of offering a virtual space where any art lovers could share a place free of formalities but full of respect and beauty. This new space offered me the chance to meet Silvana Strufaldi.
From that first casual encounter “We Are Two” emerged, and from this fusion of art and poetry emerged too a new Quixote both as a figure and stamped poem in a canvas and declaimed with music on a CD. You surely know it by now! I am leaving you below the link to watch a video we have prepared to promote this benefic work.

This poem will be recorded in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese and English at the request of all our friends in Internet.

3 - OCHRE & GOLD makes a call to all artists who want to be part of a benefic exhibition in Barcelona in the specialties of photography, sculpture for wall hanging, drawing and oil / acrylic / etc….

4 – We are also preparing a social event to be hosted in Barcelona for the official presentation of OCHRE & GOLD, Art Association. This event will take place during the month of January 2010.
